Title: Attention starving artists! Banner contest, $50 prize.
Post by: redrumloa on July 14, 2003, 04:56:38 PM
Do we have any starving artists out there who want to make a quick buck? Think you can knock out a 120x240 banner in no time flat? PM me. If there is only one response and i like your work you win by default. If there are multiple submissions i will pick the best one. Winner also will also be considered for future light contract work in graphic design.

Do we have any starving artists in here? :-? PM me ASAP for details on requirements for banner ad.

- edit - I should say this contest is by ME and is not being run by Amiga.org.

No more entries, it's down to 2 people. Both did a fantastic job so it will be very difficult to decide. Winner will be announced shortly:-)

Bugger.. I should come here more often.. :pint:

But its the story of my life at the moment - I've just got wind of a fantastic job - trouble is deadline is in two days, and I'd have to move to the other end of the country - 7 hour drive from Tamar. But I can fly every weekend for £40, and if I get the job I'll be able to afford that :-)

Am I too late?

Deadline for that job is tommorow - its unlikely I can get the application form in by then.

Its the type of Job that could make everything come together - fast track my career, make loads of money, and recognition. Especially when I'm being crapped on by everyone here...

And I'm hitting everything this job wants... but I'd miss Tamar too much. AARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!

While they are both good, I think Beezen did an outstanding professional job, its clean, bright and to the point.  Does Redrumloa get to keep this gfx forever?  What a deal!  :-P

I couldn't make up my mind. Actually BouncingAyatolla's is an animated giff which for some reason isn't displaying animated anymore. Anyone know why that is? IMO both show alot of talent.

I agree it's a good deal. I hope to be able to use one or both of them down the road for some light contract work.

Bah! I was a little disappointed to see El Grainio version  :-o (the original was animated). Here's a static version you can copy n paste if ya want... same #cols and name as the one on the main page, so you can just plug it in...

BTW congrats from me to Beezen too, your banner looks very nice indeed!

the way i see the difference between the first and second one is that the first is MUCH easier to read.

you should of plugged an action replay into that c64 before making the pic ;-)

No, i was surprised for sure. First time I saw it, it was animated and didn't look grainy at all. Anyhow I am going to replace the grainy one with the new static one you just posted.
