Title: Amigasys on real A1200 with os3.9 and BB1 + 2

aaarghhh! Having read that Amigasys supports BB1 and 2, I installed them.  I also installed the ROM update and as I use IDEFIX, Iadded SKIPROMUPDATE "scsi.device" to my SS.

Now my WB wont load fully, it stops with an empty grey WB screen. I have a mouse pointer and the title bar says Workbench Screen. No buttons work....

If I then soft reset and boot into a WB3.1 floppy I can see that Kickstart 45.57 has taken ok.

I tried to fall back to the "Amiga Rom Update.old" by renaming it "Amiga Rom Update" and removing the new BB update. This has not helped.

Also Blizkick in Amigasys was mapping a KS 3.1 from Devs/Roms. I edited out this from my SS. Again no joy.

My system is A1200T Blizzard 603+ PPC 175mhz 68060 50mhz 256mb RAM. 4GB IDE HDD, 9GB SCSI HDD, SCSI CDROM, IDE CDRW OS3.9 Mediator LT4 Voodoo 3 P96 GFX card.


Can anyone help?

I looked at it AmigaSYS 3 Plus BB1 and BB2 setup. Went up without a trouble , and works. (WinUAE) Install it again ?



Something is not installed by what the function would be hampered ?



This which AmigaSYS , AGA you are WinUAE private version ?

Hi Dary, I am not using WinUAE

I am using a REAL a1200

I have added mediator drivers, Warpos5.1 and Warp3D to Amigasys. This works well.

BUT when I install BB1 and 2 with ROM update my Amiga boots to a grey empty WB screen. This is on the VooDoo display.

I understand you, but there is not a Voodoo3 card. I wrote because of that I took a good look at it there under WinUAE worked.

Which AmigaSYS is this? You are an AGA something your own version ? There is not something above the startup-sequence into a file what causes a trouble ?

Program etc?

Ban gradually startup-sequence entries ";", or install it again.

Hi Dary, I did a fresh install of the Amigasys Plus AGA LZX.

I Installed it first with WB3.0 then immediately upgraded it with the Amigasys os3.9 install from my Original 3.9cd.

I then installed BB1 reboot. OK
Then I installed BB2 reboot. OK

Then I installed warpos5 from 3.9cd (enable WShell compatibility and V14 Reboot. Grey workbench Screen as described earlier.

If I leave the system at the grey WB screen the dimmer from MCP works so the SS got that far.

Update,

If I add SKIPROMUPDATES "scsi.device" to the SETPATCH line, then it boots fully.

BUT

If I add SKIPROMUPDATES "scsi.device" QUIET to the SETPATCH line, then it hangs on the empty grey WB screen
