Title: Ramlib error
Post by: Miloo on November 18, 2007, 02:12:30 PM
Ive got my setup working again after installing an IDE HD and installing OS 3.9 on that and then formatting the SCSI HD.

I now get a ramlib program failed (error #80000004). The last bit of software I installed was the catweasel controller.

What does this mean, as it keeps going on in a loop and Im unable to get into workbench?

This usualy happened to me because of a corrupted system file or a virus or not enough stack for a command.

Did you lower your maxtransfer in the RDB (HDToolbox) for the IDE drive? I have no experience with IDE on an Amiga myself but I remember reading about having to lower the maxtransfer on IDE drives to something like $FFFF. Perhaps someone who knows a little more can chime in here on this possibly being the problem and what the correct maxtransfer value is for IDE.
