Title: CybervisionPPC VGA module
Post by: Roj on November 16, 2007, 07:40:56 AM
I've been given a CybervisionPPC graphics card without the little VGA/PS2 module. I've since gotten hold of a BVision cable with a VGA connector on the end, but with that cable the display is predominantly green and generally out of whack. Are the two cables/connectors supposed to be interchangeable, or could this particular BVision cable be wired incorrectly?

Does anyone have info about the proper wiring for the CybervisionPPC connector, or would someone with a spare module from a CVisionPPC they'd be willing to part with it?

Thanks for the pics. I guess that's close enough to rewire the BVision cable by.

...hopefully explosions will be kept to a minimum in the process. ;-)

Turns out they are pin-compatible. The cable I picked up had defects at both ends. One pin wasn't connected on the VGA connector, and whoever put the 10-pin connector on the ribbon cable paid no attention to his/her work and bent the blades over on the red signal line.

After a little fixing the cable works just fine. Thanks for the help.
