Its like a customized Graffiti Job :-) like it alot. I think I am gonna mess with my A1200 like this before I paint it black.

Abomination :-P
-
@leirbag28
It reminds me of a lot of guitars I've seen.
-
That's an absolute disgrace.
I'm not advocating violence or anything.
But only because hanging is too good for them.
-
That Looks AWFULL
all it needs now, are some furry dice
to compliment his sticker tuned amiga
-
reminds me of a underground tunnel, wonder if it smells as pissy    Sure looks that way
-
Meths seems a good idea to start with...
-
looks like a 30 something vomited spray paint on it...
-
I liked it.
Back in the day, the hardcore "sceners" would spray paint their A500 in neon colors and add cool one-off "scene"-stickers to their casings
This must belong to some DJ or something..
-
Somebody likes their amiga 1200 and decorated it according to their tastes. Nothing wrong with that. I'm guessing that machine has rocked a lot of demos as well. Cool.
-
this is what i call a "SCENER MACHINE".... :-D
-
So the guy stickers up all the ventilation slits and then has to add a fan?
-
Don't care much about his computer, but I'm having problems with his handwriting.
What does it say on the sticker?
"Hello my name is SYPTOS"..? Or something?
-
Syphus? That's what it says above the F keys I think.

Customised graffiti?! Just looks like a mass of stickers and a few maker scribbles. Degrading for an A1200.
-
I'm going to give my A1200 a custom paintjob as well, but it's going to look a lot better than this, that's for sure :-)
-
i prefer the Dubmood / Razor1911 atari machine: http://www.razor1911.com/dubmood/bilder/AtariKlar.jpg
another scener machine :D
-
Don't like that either, some sort of spaypaint work would look a whole lot better. This just looks like the scribbles at a public conviniance.
Sorry to be so negitive but it just doesn't look good to me or deserving for them computers.
-
They both look dreadful.
If you want to see what graffiti should look like, and I dont mean spraypainting the line "Throw rocks at cops", look at the somebory like blakeys work

Hi,
do you mean Banksy (http://www.banksy.co.uk/)? I'd like some of his stuff on a 1200 ;-)
-
Thats exacctly what I meant, Im very tired, Kinda of new blakey sounded wrong lol.
THanks for sorting out my brain :)
-
hehhe no worries.... pretty cool artist though...
-
Hi stuff is amazzing and a lot of his stufff speaks out so much against todays society.
I love the countryside painting with the cctv cameras in it

@neuroflip
Now that is one seriously Disgusting crap. Perhaps its because I think Atari STs look like Cheap Public School computers. But nevertheless...........it looks like someone left it in a New York City Public school bathroom for kids to tag up on it before they get caught. Ugly.
The 1200 i think is a cool looking Scener machine. The Scene here in NY has been trying to arrise real hard, but its taking long and is wayyyy long overdue.....but I am glad because now they have MicroMusic Clubs (AKA ChipTunes clubs. Some call it MicroDisco hehe.
-
Demoscene style, go to a demo party and you will surely see some A1200 like this (with hd hanging out etc etc.)..
Not too good tags, but funny :)
-
A demo scene related 1200 would be great! Paradox, Vision Factory or Fairlight would be nice examples.

Hmmm, maybe I could do that as well...
Seriously, I currently have a yellowed A1200 and A500, and there are a few more or less yellowed A500s on their way, and I'm thinking of giving them a (good, not crappy half-work) paintjob, either with a gaming or demo theme (think about those new skinned Commodore PC cases).
Anyone have any ideas on how they should look? I'm thinking about painting the complete case, including the keyboard (and then sticking some custom-made new characters on the keys).
-
@McVenco
Just make sure you first cut holes into the A500 for future upgrades.............like a slimline CDROM port or Jumper switchers and USB ports. (Incase you decide to add these later, you wont have to repaint the holes.)
Also I Highly suggest flat black, then coat it with Matte finish clear paint. YOu cant go wrong with the correct black and most likely the Keystickers will be black or white. REMEMBER to label each key at the bottom so that when you paint it you know where those keys belong............becuase you do have to remove each one to paint them. You can spread them all out on a piece of cardboard and paint them lightly at seperate intervals so that they dont get stuck to the cardboard. Move them a little bit after the first coat, and then spray them again evenly.

The owner of that machine (syphus) is extremely creative and makes some awesome music. He is also a very nice guy :) download some stuff from his site:
http://syphus.untergrund.net/
The fan was for additional cooling his ppc card i think, which needed more than the grate could provide, and to be honest if you want to pull air through the machine you don't want the grate open if you are using a fan.
-
He's online now :-)

Cheers Buzz, you're absolutely right.
Well I've taken a bit of a beating on here, for some reason ;)
I'm amazed that those people who consider my A1200 to be a work of gross iconoclasm fail to recognise the obvious fact that any self-respecting Amiga user OBVIOUSLY has a legion of alternative, unblemished machines from which to choose. 'Unblemished' is a bit of a joke, actually, considering the propensity of CBM plastics to turn piss-coloured in just a couple of years' exposure to British tuppaware sunlight... So I use multiple Amigas, productively, every day: some are 'decorated', most are not :D
Anyway:
So, as you can clearly see from the images on my site, the peculiar and rather ungraceful cooling apparatus was constructed so that my 060/PPC could get the cooling it needed despite the A1200 having first one, then two hard drives inside. Raising the case with the large rubber feet gave a lot of airflow underneath, allowing the 060/50mhz to breathe. Actually, I really wish the 603e+ had the option of disabling the PPC... That's why, eventually, I part-traded the 603e+ for a straight 060. So drawing up air specifically through that fan on the top makes for an extremely cool machine that I can run all night, or for an entire live gig, without any worries. Better safe than sorry, yeah?
Oh, but I am sorry about the Atari :P (That 520STe went an even nastier colour than any of my Amigas - how 'bout that?)
EDIT: Sorry, this might all make a bit more sense with the full picture gallery;)

Nice gradient on the 2nd A1200 down :-)
(not including the empty casing at the top)
