Hello, fellow Amigans,
Forgive me if the General Chat is the wrong place to post this message (and if it is, then TPTB will move it).
I am a fan of the band, Warp 11 (http://www.warp11.com), and a member of the band is Kiki Stockhammer of Video Toaster fame. This year I became the band's unofficial videographer, having taped them at 4 concerts. At yesterday's TOGA meeting, I showed off a bit of the band's Sacramento Creation Convention concert, and TOGA president, Randy Abel, instantly recognized Kiki and remarked that he had video of her in her earlier Video Toaster days (which he unfortunately did not bring). After the meeting, I drove 4 hours, fighting traffic, unknown streets, and rainstorms, to make it the the band's Santa Rosa concert. After the concert, the owner of the Warp 11 BBS board wondered if there were any place to put my accumulated videos for download. Well, I gave him the answer that I've had for the past year... only dial-up at my house, someone else would have to take the videos and upload them, the sites that my other friends have tried to use had serious limitations. Then after returning to my area early Sunday morning, I thought, "Hey, why don't I ask here at Amiga.org?"
Would any of you know of a good place for downloading/viewing of the Warp 11 videos? YouTube would not be good because of the fuzzy quality of their video, and Live Video would be out because it is MSN. :-) The concerts last about 1 hour, 20 minutes to 1 hour, 40 minutes, and they were originally shot on Digital 8 tape and then transferred to DVD-R in MPEG-2.
Thank you for listening,
Robert Bernardo

Check out Stage 6:
http://stage6.divx.com/
Atom Films (Windows Media 720p, so Windows only):
http://www.atomfilms.com/home.jsp
I know there is another really high quality video streaming site, still looking for it on the Internet.
EDIT: I think it was Vimeo that I was thinking of, I can't be 100% sure. Check out the HD quality videos on this page:
http://vimeo.com/hd
My PC isn't fast enough to decode the vids when I watch in HD quality, but there seems to be an option to switch the HD quality off, so you get the best of both worlds.
I think Stage 6 is my favourite of the three sites.

Yeah, that's how I roll, too.
Another place seems to be called revver or something. Or, get this, make copies of the DVDR's and ask Kiki if you can pass them out at her shows.

Hmm... and there is a Divx codec for the Amiga, too.

Already distributed a few, but doing that continually would take much time in the production and would be costly in the long run. What we are looking for is a way to get the videos out to the larger public.
