i have 2 complete pcmcia cd rom drives. they are old but they work. could i use one of these in the pcmcia slot of the 1200? i also have asim cd driver software.
any chance of this working?

Hi 23703jim, I believe the only cd drives that worked through that port worked via the Squirrel SCSI interface. I don't think you will get drivers for any other pcmcia cd drive.

Unless of course there are either;
i)Zappo CD rom
ii) Overdrive CDrom
I have these (both same drive) and came with a PCMCIA card interface. I have the drivers if you need a copy. the drive will have a square logo in the middle, normally a black/blue square with yellow/red lines or sim.

neither of these drives...one is panasonic and the other is ibm......anyone have one of the above drives..zappo or overddrive and would care to sell please notify me and thanks much

Ill have a buffered IDE interface next week somewhen. When I do I will be selling my zappo as I will be installing a dvdrom drive into the miggy!
