Since this is my 1000th post, I thought I'd bore you all with another piece of text full of meaningless statistics---just as I did when I passed the 500-mark on December 28th, 2004.
Back then, I was ranked 147th out of 4369 members; now I am 112th out of 5672.
I'm still 4th in the list of Dutch posters, after Speelgoedman, Odin, and Seer. But there's a bunch of new kids on the block who are rapidly catching up with this ole' bag'o'bones, and I suspect my position will take quite a nosedive once my post counter is at 1500. (If it ever gets that high, that is.)
It took me 771 days to go from 0 to 500; now it took me 1046 days. My posting average therefore decreased from 0,649 to 0,478 posts/day. This is no surprise, as I haven't been as active as I was back then.
Apparently some people have left A.org for good, as there are now just 823 people who've been a member for longer than I have. It was 895 when I hit the 500-mark.
And in all that time, Amiga, Inc. have STILL failed to provide us with a new Amiga. Hyperion did manage to release AmigaOS 4 in the meantime, AROS advanced significantly in the meantime, and so did Dennis' brilliant Minimig.
I'm now listening to Dido's bittersweet 'Thank You'. And with that, 'thank you' for reading this meaningless message, and for providing a rather weird community (in a good way!) full of computer, book, music, cycling, beer, chemistry and other enthusiasts.

Slow dog you are, I joined later and have lots more posts of meaningless drivel... :-D

Holly crap!! I'm 6th and I hardly ever post any more as I'm too busy to even check my Emails!!! (I had a sneaky peak at my Gmail account which has been uncheck for 2 months only to see a million emails... I'm gonna have to devote a day to look through them all).
-Edit- 3.5 Emails per day...

Eh, I just noticed I joined earlier. I thought I joined in 2003, 'cause I got back then an internet account in my own home.

Where are you getting these stats from?

@Cymric
Congrats :-)

I need to start posting again, Speel's catching up fast :-o
If only there were several more hours in the day ;-)

I'm a bit busy with a big project, so I am here often when I have those little "writer's block" moments :-)

Creative use of Main Menu -> Members.

Pardon my ignorance but where are these 'rankings' to be found?

Note to self: read whole thread before asking stupid questions.

Well, if we're talking about user postcounts, Considering Moto's postcount :-o

Congrats to you Cymric :pint:
Creative us of the members page told me that I rank 37th overall and that, officially, I am the "Number 1" poster from Australia. Unfortunately, I know this isn't true as iama has me beat by about 3000 posts, he just hasn't listed himself as being in Australia.

Post counts aren't as intersting as posting rates!

If you look at it that way, then posting content has them both beat, in that case I probably rate somewhere in the 4000's
