Title: PCMCIA to compact flash adaptor
Post by: sbeehre on November 07, 2007, 07:32:17 PM
I can get one of these locally in NZ and was wondering if it is as simple as plugging the compact flash card into the adapter inserting it into the PCMCIA port and configuring the card.... Or do i need some special drivers to make it work? I would get one from Amigakit but the budget is tight atm and 10  + cheap shipping for me would really be great if it works.

This is the adapter im looking at

Not quite. You need this (http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/cfd) and fat95.

Also make sure the card reader is 16 bit. 32 bit cards won't work in the Amiga's PCMCIA slot.

i finally got around to getting the adaptor and tried it in my 1200 last night... if i go into prep card and it shows a 2gb CF card does that mean that its a compatible adaptor with the amiga?
