Is it possible to still buy a new floppy drive for my A3000, or should I look at a catweasel?

Boy if you find them with eject buttons, let me know too. I could probably use a six pack:-D

Why not use this quick and simple hack (http://www.amiga.org/gallery/index.php?n=2180)?
Works like a charm in ANY Amiga, even for NDOS games.

It will work great for any Amiga that uses a floppy drive with a standard face plate. The A3000 like the A500/A600/A1200 use the case as a face for the drive and you need a special eject button.
I was also thinking about an idea like the old ICD Shuffleboard but for the 3000 instead to make the DF0 boot floppy available on the external port. Then you can just remove both of the stock drives and put covers on them. Oh well.

So, what's up with your old drive that you don't want to use it anymore?
If it isn't working right then have you tried the usual techniques such as cleaning tarnish off the switch contacts (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?p=314887#post314887), or cleaning the heads with a floppy drive cleaning kit (http://amigakit.leamancomputing.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=276&osCsid=1e7660f80d6983153bc4d70d7144f5df) as described in this post? Turns out the problem was the switches. Thanks for the hint.
