Title: Need M$oft help
Post by: mgerics on October 30, 2007, 04:38:24 PM
Prb:I have to install Project 2000 on a peecee.

CD is an upgrade version, so I need previous version.

Our previous version is(was) floppy based - but Disk One is missing! (probably left in an office during an install and long since buried in a filing cabinet somewhere...)

I can prove ownership of said software via pictures, I just need Disk one.

I am not advocating peye-racy, just need the first disk in some form or another ifyouknowwhatimean...

Can microshaft's 1-800 "help" line do anything for you?

Wait, that won't work; they only have two answers for everything.  The first answer is, "its the hardware's fault".  If that doesn't work and the problem turns out to be software, then the answer is, "you need to (most likely buy) an 'upgrade'"

Very helpful they are..

He already has

I could probably suggest a few places to "obtain" it...

Yes, where would I *obtain* it - at least just the first disk of an older version...
