Title: cdtv 1411 disk drive usage

Hi i just got one of these together with a cdtv keyboard. Is it possible to use it together with other amigas such as the amiga 1200 ? Read everywere but no real answers seems .. ohh and is it 880kb and not 720kb size on DD disks i am so comfused

 I think I don't get it.

 Any Amiga drive is 880k. When using Cross DOS you got 720k.

 And I think any external drive works in any Amiga (except on A1000, of course).

Double density disks are 1MB raw and unformatted. An AFS format leaves 880KB of user storage available, an MS-DOS format leaves 720KB available. The rest gets taken up with space for the FAT, space for the bootblock and other formatting info.

10 or 11 years late in this reply, but you can use the 1411 on any Ami except for 1000 but not the CDTV keyboard, that is for CDTV only... you can use any AMIGA external floppy on Amigas, but not PC drives, etc.
