We are putting the finishing touches on our public information release
concerning the new OS and we are making some final technology decisions with
regard to technical releases.

The promised information is coming, and I will make sure that I provide you
with the requested data.

Thank you again for taking the time to write to me.

Kindest regards,

Bill McEwen

This is an announcment about an announcement....why did you repost this?

And I was starting to praise this community, and then something like this happens.

Amiga, Inc. is a big announcement and spec. defining machine...there is nothing new in making announcements and dreaming about spec's.....

this is one e-mail of Bill's that I believe, if only because its worthless, and the type of worthless activity they've engaged in for years.

The heat is on, what will happen first?

1) Amiga Inc will release anything real.
2) Duke Nuke forever will hit store shelves.
3) Nuclear Fussion that produces more energy than it consumes will finally be achieved.

:crazy:

@little:

#3 has accually occured.  But to get it to work they use a set of xray-grips, and the fusing process erodes the tips to the point of uselessness in a matter of minutes, making it short lived.

our public information release

Great, nice to know they're working so hard on public informaion releases when they should be selling HW/SW.

BTW, I actually vote for not posting any more Bill messages.

OS 5 will actually run inside Duke Nukem Forever, using the game's crossplatform engine as its VM and HAL.

Free copy of DNF to the first person who doesn't realize this is a joke.

ok, in an unprecedented show of sportsmanship I change #3 to "Landing again a man on the moon" so that Amiga Inc has a fighting chance of releasing anything before any one of said three options become a reality :-D

Looks more like a canned response sent out to probably lots of emails asking when there will be news. That is to say, not an announcement.

Eh, what's that McEwen guy blithering about?

Heres some real OS's that are actually relevant in 2007, better yet they're here now and have real hardware you can run them on and active development communities with loads of apps;

You people are crazy.   Bill should be able to speak here. I prefer he speak personally.

I know we all have the right to vent indeed, but negativity will get us nowhere.

Chill out and wait..............lets see what comes of this.
