Title: Game music that shouldn't be cool but it is
Post by: Toxitalk on October 20, 2007, 01:12:26 PM
I used to have an Amiga Game called Treasure Trap.

At the time you would have to remember that isometric ultimate games were old hat by that point, and in fact most games tened to shy away from that format.

At the time I read a review for a new title called Treasure Trap. A really too difficalt iso maze game, but had an unique selling feature a 'wicked intro'.

Im not going to spoil the audio supprise, but for anyone who has not heard it after 20 years, do yourself a favour and get a copy.

If you don't wet your self laughing in one hand, cringing in the other while bopping along, your not a true retro geek.

Joking a side, what are peoples fav game music intros?

Along side Treasure trap, for me, defender of the crown and Shadow of the beast!

Burning Rubber. The game is total suckage, but the intro music by Utah Saints and intro FX are rather fun. In game music isn't too terrible either.

I also like the "Frontier main theme" think it's a good piece of music, and the intro to Frontier: Elite II.

Steg the Slug http://www.lemonamiga.com/?game_id=2325 had some funky tunes, but I think the audio filters were off which made them a bit harsh at times.

Oh yeah, who can forget.... "War, has never been so much fun, War, has never been so much fun..." Cannon Fodder.
