Post by: terminator4 on October 15, 2007, 03:25:27 PM
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone has got it to work with VT4000 and Toaster Flyer?
thanks in advance.

The timings required by the Toaster are extremely precise, so it's probably hit or miss if it'll work. Software-wise, you'll almost definitely need a separate bootable partition without the Mediator stuff on it.

Remember that only the tower versions of the Mediator actually have/allow access to a video slot.

Also wondering if its possible to have a 90 degree connector (to buy from somewhere), this way I can use high flyer card in a tower... :-P

I was also suspicious - about mediator and the video toaster timings...  however can you say this with more certainty?? (do you have or have you attempted such a setup?)

The Toaster is on the video slot which is basically the 23 pin video port, the parallel port and the two audio channels (plus some other lines) on a slot.   I can't imagine how the mediator could effect it.   The Flyer is basically a complete computer on a card hooked to the zorro-II bus (and uses very little of that bandwidth), so I dont think it likely the mediator will effect it either.
