Hi,
I have a perfect condition and fully working A1200 here and I'd like to get it up and running again. However, there is just one thing missing which is making the whole machine unusable : the little plastic clip which slides over the green keyboard ribbon cable and clicks into the motherboard socket to keep it in place.
As it stands the ribbon is just too lose to keep the keyboard constantly connected, and the board frequently loses its connection.
I was just wondering if anyone here knows where I can find such a thing, or if some kind soul has any spare which I could buy from them?
Cheers,
David

It just needs to apply pressure on the back of the ribbon against the contacts. So you could cut pieces out of margarine tubs, ice cream tubs etc to wedge in there. The original may have had some small studs on it to help apply force in the right places, so some rigid but slightly soft material might work better by conforming to the shape required when forced in, like some sliver of wood.
