Title: Just a question for you clever lot
Post by: Gav on October 13, 2007, 03:47:58 AM
Alright
Just making sure that it's ok for me to have two OS3.9 installs at the same time on my desktop??Probably a stupid question but i dont wanna take any chances at the mo.

One of them is for backup reasons of course but is actually on a seperate HD.
Thanks
Gav

Well there's not a problem there, long as it isn't a pirated copy of course.  Backing up your computer is perfectly fine.

The only thing you need is, when partitioning the "new" hd, select a different boot priority.

When you need to use the "alternative" one, reboot, hold both mouse's buttond and select the partition to boot from.

This is a software question, why are you posting in the hardware forum?

But I can tell you that it is not a problem to have several system partitions, and a good security measure as well.
