Seeing as I have some time on my hands ive started a few projects. One of them being psu rebuild, and the other case restoration. :)
Had an old very yellowed A1200 which, I thought would make a good starting level.
Here are the pics. What you think of them? I was going to respray the A1500 as best as I could back to original colours.

That looks very clean, great job.
May I ask what steps you took to bring the case back to it's former glory?
Kind regards,
James

1st step good ole gleen with a greeny and fairy liquid.
Hung on washing line to dry! (or any warm place will do.)
3 light coats of white primer.
3 coats white paint
3 coats laqure.
Thats about it!
make sure you get plenty of ventilation or you get a saw head!

Mr Clean (Lemon/yellow household cleaner, Flash liquid) does an amazing job on plastic parts, can get a heck of a lot of "grub" off.

FWIW, I found that the "Almond" color of Krylon Fusion is pretty darn close to the original case color as well.

@ALL
Thank You for this thread! I have been waiting for it to come along. I also have some restoration work to do. I might as well try it on the badly yellowed parts, I figure a couple of them look so bad I don't have anything to loose.

Just an FYI, but some of you might want to look into trying vinyl dye. (Especially if you're spray paint challenged, like myself.) There are quite a few computer related guides on the net, but basically it soaks into the pores of the plastic, and leaves a more factory-like finish. There's a company called parasolinc that sells a German product called Varikote, which is supposed to be a very high-quality dye. (I have an A600 case that's getting a coat of "kobaltblau")

CORRECTION:
The Krylon Fusion color is "Dover White." Almond looks C64-ish.

Actually now you come to mention it, fabric dyes work on some of these plastic parts. You leave 'em in a hot water bucket of it overnight and it comes out dyed. Okay for funky colors, might be a bit paler than it would on fabrics, i.e. if you want a bright red, go for a darker shade, coz it might look pink otherwise. Won't get anything back to white of course.

It be easier as well, just to buy a new white keyboard, rather then try to dye them back to white!
