Post by: r6stu on October 10, 2007, 01:53:19 PM
Hi, I seem to be having issues to get my cd rom to work in my A1500!

It has a oktagon 2008 controller card. I cannot seem to find a driver device that I can use in AMICDFS.

On the original ROM it's called oktagon.device I think.... if you use the later patched ROM (on the Aminet I think) then it's called 2nd.scsi.device I think, and also SoftSCSI_OktagonC9XEA.device or similar - the actual letters on the end change depending on where it is physically.
I used AsimCDFS but that should be all you need to know!

Where are you looking? It's on the ROM so from a Shell prompt (or the Execute Command.... button of course) if you type "version oktagon.device" it'll give you a version number if it's there.

You can also try running SysInfo or SysInspector or something which'll tell you what libraries are on the system.
