So sam's ready, AI is in disarray, and OS4 still in limbo!

Yup, SNAFU. Would you expect anything else?

And TeamAROS is excepting donations for it's SAM440 (http://thenostromo.com/teamaros2/?number=60) bounty.

Great! A $650 motherboard that I might be able to run Linux on!
Just what I've been looking for...

Heh, I have a linux motherboard and its awaiting a different OS.
I'm also posting using a different machine that also runs linux, Ubuntu 7.04.
I would say anyone who wants to support Acube should go ahead and do it.
I'm also a bit sad that my little machine isn't doing much, hmmm....
my $0.02

Free advice: Do not buy HW that has not been tested. You'll just end up having very expensive piece of defect HW you'll have to pay repair shipping costs for (in best case). In worst case you'll end up with defect HW no-one is willing to repair (it has happened before you know).

I wonder how likely this will be and when? I don't care just give me some OS software to run on it then after all the kinks have been reported, like Piru said, then I'll buy....by December

Yeh, I know what you mean - I suppose you guys all thing that's better than a $99 motherboard that definitely does run Linux, and uses a vastly superior firmware? Well at leas the SAM440EP has SATA, and onboard graphics, that's gotta be worth the extra $551 right? I think not...
Makes me wonder - just how much of the embedded devices market use UBoot with PowerPC hardware? I see no point as the IEEE1275 OpenFirmware is so much better...

The question is:
1. will you buy a brand new mobo with linux at 500-700$ ?
Ok, I already know the answer...
or
2. will you buy a brand new mobo with os4 at 500-700$?
Surely everyone is.
If it come with os4 most of us will buy, but know it is useless, and expensive.
