Title: Squirrel + CD32 emulation - a small problem
Post by: Everblue on October 06, 2007, 09:00:58 AM
Hello,

I have installed Squirrel on my A1200HD and the CD-Rom is succesfully detected etc. - I have one gripe though...

When I insert a CD32 game and reboot the Amiga (so the game starts automatically), I get the following errors, and it stops loading:

Workbench: Unknown command
C:version: Unkown command
C:version failed retruncode 10

Any ideas what's wrong?

Thanks!

CD32 emulation has always been hit-or-miss. Check your startup-sequence to see how the boot process is working. It looks like it's getting confused as to which device it's supposed to be booting from: the CD or your hard disk.

I've found 'CD-Boot' by Stephen Ossowski to be pretty good. At a very early stage in booting the Amiga displays a screen where you can choose to either boot into Workbench or the bootable CD.

There are some questions and answers and his contact information HERE (http://www.faqs.org/faqs/amiga/CD32-FAQ/part2/)  :pint:
