Title: AROS new Installer
Post by: trekiej on October 05, 2007, 04:23:24 AM
I installed AROS 10_03_2007 today (Thur) it went well.
I had shutdown Wanderer as posted on an Aros site.
It is a Compaq 5345; K6-2 350, 40 Meg Ram and Sis Chipset with buit in Video.

I want to program for Aros.  It is plenty of work for me as I have never programmed for Amiga before.  I have Amiga Dev CD 2.1 with Rom Kernal Manuals.  Anyone an Amiga programmer?  Any advice would be welcomed.

I can see that Aros needs work.  I do not want to miss out on the Amiga this time.  I want to get ready or OS4's release, if it is released.  If OS4 does not get released I want the next best Aros/Linux/BSD.

Thanks.

For now, best option is coding is setting up AROS in Linux hosted because of the number of tools that will make things much easier.  You can check out AROS Web site (http://www.aros.org) or join #AROS channel on irc.freenode.org and ask the devs for real time help on getting started.
