Title: what is conclip
Post by: foleyjo on October 04, 2007, 10:53:00 PM
can someone help

After a HD error I needed to format my Workbench partition on my A1200. Luckily it was backed up on UAE.
Ive been copying Workbench back over using diskmaster (in uae).
For some reason when it gets to C:Conclip it crashes an dI get errors on my Amiga HD again.
Ive managed to copy Workbench by missing out this file but when I boot up it says it cant find it as its in the startup-sequence. Ive  commented the line and can now boot without any problems.

So what is conclip do I need it and how can I put it back because my harddrive wont accept it from my pc

 :-?

I think it's the clipboard for copy and paste etc.

What happens if you do "conclip 1" from a shell?

IIRC, it handles copying and possibly pasting text from the console device, eg, shell windows, etc.  So it's not critical.

Are you saying UAE or the emulated Amiga crashes when you try to copy conclip?  Have you tried renaming it, or compressing it with lha first?

Just tried to do the conclip 1 thing
However When i typed Cli into execute command the amiga locked up

When copying the amiga locks up and the harddrive ends up with an error which needs validating on the real amiga before it works again
