Hey guys got my A4K tonight. It powers on, but only 4MB of ram is recognized... any ideas? and the LED for the HDD is constantly on.. any ideas? I have 16MB of fast installed but only 4 shows up...
lemme know what you guys think!

The LED constantly on for the HDD usually means the ide cable is upside down.

Check battery for leaks if it is still in there. Leaks can cause malfuntions in RAM and cause the HDD light to stay on.
-
HD LED can stay on if the Amiga is revalidating a corrupted partition.
Leaked batteries can damage the SIMM traces, indeed.

Yeah the drive was toasted! I don't know about the memory tho...*sigh*
