Hi!,
I have a sealed Amiga RGB lead with a 7 pin din at the other end (sorry no pic).
On the packaging it says AMIGA/HITACHI.
I can only assume this was for a specific Hitachi monitor that was compatible with the Amiga?
Any Ideas?????

I had that lead for a 14" Hitachi TV that had the DIN socket at the back and a TV<>RGB switch. Worked pretty good, not quite as crisp as RGB into a 1084S but better than composite. Sorry, don't remember the model.
Actually, think I saw a 20" (or so) hitachi monitor/TV with that socket a couple of years back in a thrift store. That one had a flat glass front to it.
So... yeah, it's just an RGB cable for Hitachi's late 80s early 90s DIN RGB socket.

Thanks for the advice!
I'll look out for a suitable TV/Monitor perhaps?

Just remembered, if you're in the UK, a lot of "Granada" TVs sold through the rental chain were rebadged Hitachis, so those are worth a look at. The "Granada" bingo halls used to make heavy use of Granada TVs and monitors, those became "Gala" bingo halls. So if any of those are refitting their systems, check if they've got any granada/hitachi TV/monitors going spare. However, from those sources they're likely to have screen burn from the bingo numbers.
