Title: How to set it up RIGHT
Post by: A1200Power on October 02, 2007, 04:58:04 PM
Hi you all,

Got a nice 4000 Elbox tower setup but i need some tricks and tips of setting it up the right way

The tower houses the following equipment,

Cyberstorm ppc233/060@50
Cybervision 64/3d sd/ff
X-surf
Toccata
Ioblix
Vlab motion

The tower is installed with 0s3.9 and BB2

The next choice would be te graphic system, cybergrfx 3 works fine but 4.0 screws up my TFT screen. So i guess it's back to 3

Anyway how do i set it up to get some nice icons, sounds and warpos V5 should i install it and how?

Got a clue anyone?

Thanx

If you're using CGX4, make sure it's the latest version. Others are buggy with 3.9BB2. Be sure your monitor settings are correct in CGXMode as well.

Icons and sounds are a matter of personal preference. Aminet's got a whole bunch to choose from. You might want PowerIcons for PNG compatibility.

For WarpOS, just run the installer. You'll have to do this once for the base system and then again for the last update.

Thanks fot the tip, i did found it on aminet. It works now the only thing is that i cannot ad a own monitor because it doesn't save the setting when i modify them. This is when i use the cybergrapfx tools to modify screen refresh rates eg.

If you have a Mediator, the first thing you should do is get yourself a Voodoo card.

@ A1200Power

Actually, I seem to recall a bug in the CGX4 installer in that it forgot to copy an icon for the CVision3D driver in Devs:Monitors. Make sure you have one (just duplicate from another driver) otherwise some settings won't stick.
