Title: OS 3.1 and recent Hard drives...
Post by: starf81 on October 01, 2007, 08:33:50 PM
... yes, I know... this matter has been discussed a lot of time.

But, in short, what is the best way to use every GB of recent HD under 3.1?

Thank you in advance!
Alex

For a 40GB HD on a A1200, the simplest way I found involved IDEFix, HDInstTools and SFS. Often the most omitted point is  to put the correct number of cylinders in HDToolBox for your HD. Check the net if you can't find it in the HD label.

You don't need IDEfix if you're using OS3.9.

Duh, read the subject moto

Or use NSD or TD64 (prefer the last), from Aminet.
