Title: MOS PUP and W3D problems
Post by: Flashlab on September 30, 2007, 01:21:21 PM
I'm trying to get W3D to run under MorphOS. I renamed the libs in MOSSYS: and copied the libs from AOS to libs. That way I can get the 68k programs of the Gears demo to run but the PPC programs do nothing. Sometimes when I reinstall MOS I can run the PPC programs in one session. After a reboot it doesn't work anymore. Only when I reinstall I can sometimes get it to work again...

Does anyone here have it working with a Cybervision PPC?

same behaviour here since the beginning!

W3D ppc apps/demos works only at random.

Often i get it running, starting SnoopDOS before (it slows down a bit the W3d initialization)

When you will get the W3d ppc gear running the first time in a session, you can use every other w3d ppc app.

Ok so first running SnoopDOS might work... Can I just use the Amiga version?

it should be the same anyway i'm using SnoopDOS 3.8PPC from Aminet (just tryed and it works)

Run SnoopDOS then Gears_ppc-small and every W3D PPC app, will works. (you can quit SnoopDOS then .... it serves only to slows down w3d init)

I used SnoopDOS 3.9 PPC from Aminet but that doesn't make any difference.

Could you tell me what you did to install W3D the right way? I renamed the warp3d libs in the MSOSYS:libs drawer and copied the warp3d libs and Warp3D drawer from my AOS install to Libs in the MOS main drawer.

Did I miss something?

just tryed with SnoopDOS 3.9PPC as well and it starts (take in that NOT always it works)

Rarely after a fresh boot but now having YAM2.5dev and IBrowse running, it worked.

About the installation, yes i did the same as you.
