How do you install BVision in desktop A1200? Does metal shielding need to be cut or removed first?
Which chip needs cooling, the one with Permedia written on it?

oh, bppc+bv on desktop case... be carefull, they get HOT!
when I had a bvision, the permedia chip was the hotter, but I also put heatsinks on the bridge chips, the 2 that have a tree picture on them...

Yes this card run x-tremely hot. Put a heatsink on every chip on it, and preferably a fan and heatsink combo on the Permedia chip.
Do not even consider running it with the metal shield in the A1200 (if you can run shield + Bvision), those monster heatsinks will need room to breath, I would also suggest running a couple of 40/60 mm fans in the case to push air through the case.
It can be done, but is it worth it since you need to run a beefy PSU to your Amiga and you need to make lots of hardcore modifications? Not really I think :roll:

Yes it works great.
But don't use an 040, be sure you have an 060 coz they don't get that hot. I've rewired the 5V line and connected it to the floppy drive. I also added a fan inside the desk by drilling two small holes in the keyboard underneath the case. You don't see it. I also had to add an extra outputhole as I already use the external out for scsi.
The only thing I don't like about it is the noise of the fans.

that is not "burnt" at all. Thats quite normal if used in a desktop case (transparent coating gone)
