A4000D, Mediator, VooDoo 3, and extras (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290160303985)
Holy crap... Someone made out like a bandit. THESE are the kind of deals I'm talking about!!

In the auction:
The problems that I have had with the system are: system does not want to boot at times (most likely the CPU board not sitting properly), the other problem is that I was unable to get any video cards to work with the Mediator ( both Zorro and PCI)
That explains it...

Yes, I noticed that as well. I wouldn´t tag it as a steal for 2 defective motherboards, stock 040 accelerator and defective Mediator card.
However, if it turns out that everything actually works, and the seller just didn´t know how to set everything up, then we can talk about it being a steal or not :-)

Hopefully the winner will post here to let us know what works.

I would have taken the gamble. Won't boot once in a while, bad solder joints on the CPU socket. Video cards won't work? I'd bet it's something screwy with the Mediator, or even related to a screwy accelerator (test it out with a real daughter-board.) Even paying for repair, you're walking away with not a bad system.
I'm interested in knowing how it all turns out as well. I'm convinced this would make a great couple of weekend's worth of tinkering for a working PCI-based system.
So, maybe not a steal. :-)
