Title: CyberGraphX/CyberVision 64/3D Screen Modes
Post by: wildstar1063 on September 21, 2007, 07:48:16 AM
Is it possible to create 640X200 and 320X200 Screen modes
in CyberGraphX, for my CyberVision 64/3D card? So many
programs want these screen resolutions, but they are
not available in the screen modes, unless I want to move
the cable to the Amiga video output (No Switcher).

I have looked at the screen mode editor, and I see where to
change the resolution, but I have no clue what the other
options mean, or which ones might need to be changed to
 match a give screen res.
Thanks

Yes it is... I did it.

It took hours of fooling around...

It's possible and pretty easy too. Just make new mode and take default from x240 resolutions for example. Then just change vertical resolution to 200. Then tune with pixel clock to wanted frequency.

Has always worked fine with CRT monitors, but some TFT monitors can be picky with frequencies or simply don't work at all with low resolutions.

You can also make x256 and x512 modes for some more compatibility. And for example 480x360 etc for some games, which are too slow for higher res and too ugly for lower res ;) Like Napalm with Zorro2 gfxboard (for faster bus it's also fast enough for bigger res).
