Got a lovely A3000 recently (Thanks Michael!) and I'm getting the dreaded flashing capslock issue. Took the k/b apart and cleaned everything up but it still comes back every now and then.
Anyone got a spare A3000 k/b for sale? Want to confirm that the keyboard is the issue before I go looking for bad connections at the socket.
Many Thanks in advance.

The Amiga 2000 keyboard also fits, these are easier to find. Just a FYI...

Thanks. I will take either.

Hi Chubbyrain:
If I remember correctly the flashing caps lock is because of a failing keyboard chip. Many years ago I replace the chip on my a3000 keyboard and it fixed the issue...
If you can track down one of the keyboard converters, that may be much easier that finding a 3000(2000) keyboard.
Good luck!

I believe the guts of an A2000 keyboard ie the membrane and keys fit inside the A3000 keyboard shell.
There are 2 versions of the A2000 keyboard , the model A and model B. Model B is the version I believe fits.

What is the dreaded flashing capslock issue?
Is it related to the front led thingy?
Still here,

It's not related to the Power LED.
When you use caps lock, there is a led that lights up under the button. If it starts flashing then there is a keyboard error and the keys will not work. It didn't do it at all last night, but I want to get another keyboard since it's likely the problem with eventually get worse.
