I have an A530 which I have been working on getting operational (maybe.) So far I've been able to stop the crash at boot by setting the MMU disabled as it has an EC030.
The unit was missing a lot of jumpers. So I'm thinking there's something else missing, and my working A530 is in a box somewhere.
Can someone with a working A530 provide me with the settings for:
CN18 *
CN16
CN11 *
CN7 *
* BBoAH lists these as "reserved" but gives no information on actual jumper setting.

If you carefully look at amiga-hardware, there is a photo of an opened A530, where you can see those jumpers.
This is the link (http://amigahardware.mariomisic.de/download_photos/gvp530_mb_f_big.jpg)
to the picture.
BTW: in this pic I can see:
CN7: open
CN11: open
CN16: close
CN18: lefmost two pins

CN18 - jumper set on Pins 1 & 2
CN16 - jumper open
CN11 - jumper set on Pins 2 & 3
CN7 - jumper set on Pins 1 & 2
AFAIK, CN16 is (seems like) an option which made A530 drain power from A500. GVP might been pushing for that option, but cancelled due limited amperage available through 100-pin edge connector.

AH HA! Sometimes you can't see the pictures for the text (uh, poor mutation of "forest for the trees.") I'll give these a try...
