Maybe I can get one of these. Is there of any use? Can I connect the Amiga to that monitor? Max Resolutions? Maybe 640x480 on a standard AGA A1200? Flickering?
Any advices / previous experiences?
Thanks a lot!

it must be a 15khz monitor...
assuming it is, you will get flicker, and the interlace effect... max 15khz resolution would be 640x512 IIRC (perhaps more with overscan), it is a long time since I used aga for wb so I don't remember well...

The monitor cable connector is not compatible, different type of connector shape. Just looed at the old Mac Performa setting in back of the shop used for billing.

I don't think Macs ever used 15 kHz monitors... The early color monitor were all very VGAish.

I had a few Mac monitors, sad thing is, they were single-sync and... limited to one or two resolutions. And none of them where compatible with the Amiga. Some of the newer should be somehow capable of VGA-like signals tho. There are cable-adaptor schematics on the net. Best is to check on the internet for available resolutions and scan-rates before even go into the trouble of adapting a Mac monitor.

it could work.. find a mac to vga adaptor.. and then a vga to to amiga adaptor... but then you'd be limited to productivity unless you had a scandoubler or a 3rd party video card for your amiga...

@all: thanks a lot. Finally I bought the performa. Monitor is not compatible. Well, after all it costs me just 10 eur., and is fully working, so maybe I will be selling or using it in the not too distant future.
Thanks again
