Title: Fastlane Z3 ROM Upgrade
Post by: Miloo on September 14, 2007, 09:12:00 AM
After searching the forums I read that someone could burn an eprom in order to give the Z3 version 8.5 rom.

I need to upgrade mine. The chip says :

S27C256-15A & KKJ05939114L1.

Can someone help/put me in the right direction?

You mean the one you won on ebay this morning for US $137,50? :-)

Damn shame I missed that one (I should have bid until 111,11 Euros, which was my initial plan...)

Well, that seems like a lot - why is it so valuable now?
Plus, it has to be shipped across the pond, which I thought was a killer - I am in the US and I never even look at anything in other countries. Even shipping from Canada (Yes, I know it's not the 51st state :) has bitten me badly.

Well, it adds 64MB to your system, plus it's the second fastest SCSI controller around, so it's a quite valuable add-on...
