Title: DPaint 3 causing horisontial and vertical lines
Post by: rja4096 on September 14, 2007, 08:50:18 AM
Hi, when I use DP 3 on my A1200, it draws horisontial and vertical lines on the screen when I move the mouse. It actually drawes them as if I'd actually painted the lines. However I don't get this problem with DP4. Does anyone know why??? thanks, The reason I'm using PD3 is so that when I bring into AMOS, I know I'm not using colours that don't exist in non AGA (i.e. AMOS)

Hardware is A1200, Blizzard 030, 50Mhz

Please let me know, thanks, Rick (UK)

Hi
1) Maybe you have set the grid tool... :-D

2) DPaint III (and older versions) doesn't work on AGA modes or graphic card. Your workbench (or public screen) must be in PAL or NTSC mode (no productivity, or multisync features) before start DPaint3. I have the same phenomena with Dpaint IV under picasso96.

3) With DPaintIV you can work with resolution and color# used before in DPaintIII (i.e. 32 colors 320x256 PAL) by selecting a compatible screen mode, at launch time, in the first panel. When you save your artwork, it will be compatible with what AMOS needs. :-)

DPaintIV should allow you to limit the palette to the 32 ECS colors.

It happened me the same thing.
Last days i am using genlock and it get´s crazy ,but some times it works ok ,i don´t know if it is when i boot from Disk on my 1200 or when i boot from os 3.5
I was suspecting mouse adapter problems but now that i saw this thread maybe it is just dPaint issues

makes me whant to :destroy: Amiga.
