It's normal, some of them were fitted with green power light instead. That isn't a problem though, do you hear any drive clicking or any other indication that the machine may be working ?
You might need to reseat some chips, give them a gentle push back in their sockets. If there is still no display, swap out the custom chips from one of your working 500s to see if that works. Also, don't forget to swap the power supply & video cables to see if that's the problem.

The green LED is the newer A500's, usually for ECS machines, ie 1MB Chip RAM capable, 2.04 Kickstarts, etc...

In addition to the other good advice presented, have you tried a different video output? (IIRC the A500 has 23-pin and RF only??)

Yeah, I picked up one of these NIB a while back, green LED and the newer style "A500" sticker. (They seem to be a bit more rare here in the States.) It has v1.3 ROM installed, yet I do wonder if it has an ECS Denise or Agnus. Figured it wasn't worth breaking the warranty seals to find out.

I have one of these machines. It came with a 1.3 ROM and now has a 1MB ECS Agnus, though it had much work done under warranty, so I don't know if that was a later addition or not. It has a Rev. 6A motherboard.

@iowasurfer
What sorta type of monitor deal are you using? If you're using a new moderny type monitor, it might not even be recognizing that there's even a signal to display.

Does the diskdrive make clicking sounds? Try inserting a disk and see if it reads the disk. When it does, try inserting some disk that will load into something that makes sound (a demo or something like that) and boot that with the sound attached. If the A500 produces sound, then there is probably just something wrong with the video.
(also: open up the A500 and press all chips firmly into their sockets)

No besides the green led coming on
no screen colors at all not even a screen flicker
after i turn on that amiga 500
When i put a 3.5 in the drive on bootup or after boot up no noise at all..
Hmmmmmmmm weired
