Title: Adobe Digital Editions files
Post by: motorollin on September 10, 2007, 03:40:27 PM
I have just bought an eBook which I needed for my soon-to-be-started degree. It is in the Adobe Digital Editions format. It's actually a PDF, but is only viewable in the Digital Editions viewer. If you open it in Acrobat Reader it appears corrupt. I'm a bit worried about this as I'm not sure what will happen if I need to rebuild my machine and reimport the file. Also, it's annoying having to have a viewer installed just for one document. So I'm wondering if anyone knows of any way to decrypt the PDF so it will open in standard Acrobat Reader?

TIA

You must install a software to reprint it as a 'simple' PDF or HTML file

Unfortunately Adobe Digital Editions doesn't allow you to print, because it would make it too easy to copy eBooks.
