Title: YAM - Distribution lists?
Post by: FuZion on July 03, 2003, 12:44:27 AM
Hello there YAM peeps,

I have a little question regarding YAM lists.

I have set up a little list for obvious reasons but... When I want to send an e-mail to the people on this list, do I HAVE to put an address in the "To" string?

I ask this because I do not want any of the people in the list to see the e-mail addresses of the other peeps in there.

I am using the "BCC" thing but the first e-mail address is shown.

The only way I can think of dealing with this is by sending the e-mail "To" myself & "BCC"ing to the list.

Is there another way?

Does nobody have any ideas or suggetsions?

Well that's just fine, I'll waste mountains of e-mail stamps sending the first copy to myself then. ;-)

hmm..

when I make a new list of people
that forms a chat group,
I give it a name
and then just type that name in the to: field,
but I guess this doesn't help you
since the emails of the others are probably shown anyway.

maybe what you are asking is impossible unless you make a group wich works in the way that one send to one (bot) email, and all the others get the email with only the from: field containing personal info.

I dunno really...
