Title: Combining effects in a tracker
Post by: motorollin on September 05, 2007, 12:21:49 PM
I'm using a tracker for the first time ever. I'm wondering if it's possible to combine effects on a single position?

with Protracker? No. With Digibooster, yes (e.g. slide and volume)

*brings back memories....

Actually I'm using Milkytracker on my Mac. I did try HivelyTracker on my A4000 but it hangs when I run it  :-?

This can be done using multiple command pages in OctaMED (6 & SS) as far as I remember.  Can't remember but there is a keyboard shortcut to switch through the multiple pages.

Edit: oops sorry, missed the 'using Milkytracker on a Mac' part  :rtfm:

MilkyTracker uses the same .XM format as Digibooster Pro.  You can store a volume in the left columns directly between the commands and instrument number.  Look at the example modules that come with MilkyTracker for an example.  Other than that, you have to use one effect per line.

did you configure Unit 0 at AHI prefs ? it's not configured by default, and hively needs that configured.
