Title: A500 disks!
Post by: Gwion on September 01, 2007, 02:17:12 PM
I was at the carbbot this morning and i bought a box of 73 amiga disks! And i was wondering if the disks "Amiga 500 The Very First english Version" and "Workbench 1.2" were rare?

Not really....
The very first were (in norway) released with many of the first kick 1.2 amiga 500. and of course the os 1.2 disks as well...
I do not have any numbers for it. But my friends (back in 1987) having kick 1.2 A 500 had those disks... (8 - 10 people)
My guess is that they were common back then....

I've got a few 'Very First' disks.
No workbench 1.2 disks as of yet. I would still say WB1.2 is as common as all of the variations of 1.3.

I have Beta 1.1a, 1.1b, & 1.1c, and Beta 1.2a, etc... along with all of the original A1000 developers programming tools.
Got them from a developer, no less. BUT, I doubt these are rare either....
Rare or not, I got a great A1000 from him too!

Yup, the "Very First" and "Workbench 1.2" disks are about as rare as hens' feet (not hens' teeth, which is a different kettle of fish altogether!).  :-)

But with that many disks, you're bound to find something interesting!
