Dear Friend:
Hehe I have the solution for your problem.
In the winUAE setup...go to 'hard drives'and check the 'add pc drives at start'.Config the whole thing..then when the OS runs..every pc drive will show up, including the cd rom and the pc hd. hehe happy to help!!!

Better way: Configure your CDFS to use uaescsi.device.

how do i configure cdfs?i have went into cdfs and it doesnt show my cdrom drive in it?

If you have AmigaOS 3.9 then you should have CacheCDFS installed. Goto Devs\DosDrivers or Storage\DosDrivers and locate CD0 file.
Open the file with a a text editor, and look for the lines:
Device="scsi.device"
Unit=0
Change the lines to:
Device="uaescsi.device"
Unit=0
The Unit number should match the one for your CDROM drive in your computer, it might be 0 or a large number (if you do not know the number, enable logging in Winuae in Misc to determine it).
If it still does not detect it, then change the ASPI driver in Misc tab from AdaptecASPI to another driver eg. SPTII.
