Thread title says it all really. My A2000 is WB 2.04 I think. So I'll need a SCSI HDD under 1GIG by what I've been told to work with the A2091 as it is.I'm also going to install a Fusion Fourty card at the same time.So any advice and helpfull tips would be gratefully accepted.

I have a nice little 600MB here I could sell you for 20$.
I low level formatted it and tested it for bad blocks using my PC's Adaptec SCSI controller.
I could also sell you these following items to help you improve your experience with your Amiga 2000 with Fusion 40:
- Kickstart 3.1 V40.63 to replace your KS2.04 for 18$
- ROM V7.0 for your A2091 SCSI Controller for 8$
- Plug'n'Go ROMs V3.4 for your Fusion 40 for 15$
Shipping should be around 15$ wherever you are located. I just have to weigh the drive to give you an exact figure but I know it is less than 1kg so it should qualify as a small packet.

Any particular reason it has to be under 1 Gig? I have a 2 Gig drive that works find with my A590 (V6.6 ROMs). I've sent you a PMail, reply if you're interested.

I would highly recommend you to upgrade your A2091 with the 7.0 ROMs Eslapion mentions, as it will greatly diminish potential compatibility problems with >1 GB harddisks and with 68040 (or above) turboboards.
Buying the 7.0 ROMs is, imo, a better investment than buying a <1 GB drive.

I was told the maximum size of under 1GIG was all the A2091in standard state could use. The upgraded 7.0 rom/s will then be easier on compatibility then? How big a SCSI HDD can I use with this upgrade of the A2091?I have seen upgrades for the accelerator card would I salso need these if I keep the 2.04? rom in my A2000? If I upgrade the rom to 3.1 I've been advised I would have to upgrade the roms on the accelerator card to the latest version.I presume this is correct?

I have a 1080MB drive (IBM) laying around, you can have it for shipping costs.
Newer ROMS are good; but ask yourself do you really need a drive larger then 1GB?

Unless you really love 2.04 for some reason, why not get 3.0 or 3.1 ROMs and install WB 3.0 or 3.1? I did on my A2000 and it was a massive improvement. Theres almost always ROMs on ebay for reasonable prices.
I dont know about the ROMs on your SCSI card, but with 3.x Kickstart ROMs, you can use up to 4GB drives.
And yes, its very easy to use more than a gig. I have several hundred megs of just games.
