Title: Dial-up sucks
Post by: uncharted on August 30, 2007, 09:49:10 PM
Dial-up sucks.

That is all.

(Moved house and waiting for broadband to be activated.  Even simple stuff like checking emails seems to take an age.  I swear that things weren't this bad back in the day or were they?)

No, it's probably worse now - the web and internet as a whole seem to have gotten a lot piggier, so the old 3K/s speeds of dialup don't accomplish as much as they used to.

Dialup was the reason why I thought it was highly exaggerated, the internet hype during 1998.
