Title: Changing the Default CD Icon
Post by: wildstar1063 on August 30, 2007, 12:19:37 AM
Where is the default icon for a mounted CD located?
I want to replace the default Icon with a MagicWB
 Icon.

Thanks

I don't know which Workbench you are using, but in OS3.5 and OS3.9 you have icons called 'def_CD0.info', 'def_CD1.info', 'def_CD2.info' etc located in Workbench:Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys

You could try renaming your icon and replacing the appropriate one of the above with it :-)

Ok,

Copying the MagicWB CDRom icon into the Workbench:
Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys drawer and renaming it for each
of the possible CD rom drives that could be mounted, worked.
However the MagicWB icon is set as a Project Icon, so you
then have to go and edit each one with IconEdit and change
it to a disk icon.

After that it shows up just fine.

I actually looked in the Workbench:Prefs/Env-Archive/Sys,
drawer before I posted this, but I looked in workbench,
I forgot that disk icons are invisible and can only be
 seen in the Shell/Cli.

Thanks for the help
