Hi All
Today i received my Elbox4 way buffered ide interface and IDE'99 Allegro s/w yet it won't install.
When i click on the installer for the ide'99 drivers, it says 'Unable to open your tool 'C:Installer'.
Any ideas?

You need the 'installer' app installed into C:
I think there is a copy in the root of your workbench HD install floppy, put it in the floppy drive, and type at a shell
COPY DF0:Installer C:
(there also is one on the AmigaOS3.9 CD, but I'm guessing you don't have your CD-ROM installed yet)
As an aside, I'm getting an Installer error trying to install BoingBag1 - anyone know anything about this ?
-Jar.

Jaruzel, many, many thanks for your help. :-) It worked a treat and i finally have access to cd roms full of progs. YAYAYAYAYAY. Now i just have to modify my desktop case.
My problems with the amiga are that i look at everything from a PC perspective and they just aint the same.
Here are some pics of my lovely setup LOL

BTW, is the IDe'99/ Allegro S/W better than IDE Fix?
Regards.

Ahhh, those pics take me back. An expanded A1200 in the original desktop case. Or should that read "An expanded A1200 outside the original case" :-P

Same solution really...IIRC you need the new version of Installer from OS3.9 CD in your path.
Cheers

Aahh, yes the hardware, hard to get, sometimes tricky to install without help but all so rewarding when it works.
That's why we are still here. It's not the hardware, nor the software but what you did in answering a question without belittiling a new starter, who is obviously well versed in computing.
Are you, black, white, yellow, (let's skip nationalities), Catholic, Orthodox, Jew, Muslim, Budhist, PC, Mac, Atari (the old foe), Linux or MORHOS?
Forgive my ranting but when I saw your answer I rememberd what "AMIGA" was all about.

@golem
Cheers for that. I thought that might be the case, but couldn't determine the BEST place to obtain the LATEST Installer from....
-Jar.

@Jaruzel;
No problem. Nice of Amiga/Haage & Partner to document this in the instructions for install methinks...
