Title: AmigaOne chipset, quick question
Post by: mikeymike on June 30, 2003, 11:07:42 PM
article about the Articia S series chipsets (http://www-3.ibm.com/chips/products/powerpc/newsletter/jun2003/ppc_process_at_work.html)

Please tell me the Articia S supports UDMA like I thought it did... this article is a bit of a worrying read in that department...

- edit - then later on in the article, it says:
"The Teron board currently has the following features:
... Complete I/O devices include Ethernet, USB, ATA 133/100 and onboard audio"

Is it possible for them to write a little less confusing an article? :-)

ArticiaS doesn't support any built-in IDE, as that is in the VIA southbridge.

The 686B southbridge as well as the 8231 both support UDMA.

Yeah but it doesn't support ata 133 so i don't know where they got that. (not that it makes a big difference)
