Title: Fred Fish PD disks...
Post by: trip6 on August 21, 2007, 08:26:11 PM
Just got a whole batch of about 200 Fred Fish PD Disks... I don't have the time to go through them all... They al have volume numbers on them... Can anyone make a suggestion of which volume numbers have the best stuff on them... I would greatly appreciate any help... I don't have the time to go through all of them... Thanks.

Contents of every disk can be found on Aminet (separate), or Kingfisher database for 1100 disks.

Almost on topic: Does anyone know where I can buy/download the GoldFish compilation?

Hmmm.... Still sounds like work... Maybe I'll just sell them as blanks...

There's some decent stuff on the Fish disks (I got a truckload of them with my A500) but there's also TONS of crippled shareware (most of which is now unregisterable due to the passage of time, lots of dodgy ports from Unix and plenty of other "junk".

I'd go through the listings, copy what you want over to fresh disks, then format the set for blanks.

trip6: as madcrow said, the Fish disks are either 'Trash or Treasure' You could very well sell them as blanks, but try at least a few, to see if they are readable at all, at this point, some of our beloved Amiga floppies are starting to go bad, at least mine are.
