Hey all,
I've recently started messing with WinUAE on my PC. I've found a copy of AmIRC 3.5, however, how do I go about registering it so I can cancel the 30 minute block? I've checked Vaporware website, but cannot find a way to buy registration key.
Any help would be appreciated.

Free alternative: http://wookiechat.amigarevolution.com/wookiechat/

I'd highly recommend wookiechat. I always had problems with DCC in AmIRC. Wookiechat works fine.

That's because AmIRC isn't able to get the host IP from the server... If you use a DynDNS Account, it should work fine.
WookieChat works quite nice, but the handling of AmIRC is still better... But as a new user, there is little chance to get registered...
A few time ago, I lost my AmIRC keyfile, and Oliver Wagner mailt me my keyfile. Maybe he's still able to create Keys?
His mail-address still exists.

Thanks for the help chaps. I'll try WookieChat, but I'll also try and get AmIRC working as I loved using it in the past and it's what I know.

Update: After a quick email to Olli through the Vaporware website, giving him my old email address (provided 10 years ago when registering AmIRC for the first time) he was able to provide me with my keyfile!

You got contact to Oliver? Can you please, please ask him if he will offer free keys or again a possibility to buy the keyfiles. The software is very good, if you have a registered version from the different tools...

I can ask. You can email him using this email address: owagner@vapor.com
It would be great if the answer is yes to those questions. I'd be screwed if I wasn't a registered user from the past.
