Post by: Amiga1200PPC on June 29, 2003, 08:05:47 AM
Hella,
MiamiDX is crashing here regulearly when losing connection.
Is there something that can be done about it?
Is it possible to dial in again automatically, when connectoin is lost?

Hello there.  I am not sure. I have not had a chance to
use Miami DX, BeCause it went Public before I could upgrade From Maimi to Miami DX, Now that they are  no
longer supported. If I had the same version of Miami DX and KeyFiles I could try it out and see how it goes on my
Amiga-4000 / 040 18 MB Ram. I Would be able to test both Dial-Up and BroadBand Connections with it.

My Email is: blakbyrd@earthlink.net

Have a nice day. :-D  :-)  ;-)  :-D  :-P

I have the same software and it works for me perfectly. Sometimes it crashes. Reinstall MiamiDX and your problem will go away.

MiamiDX (or to more precise) pppoe.device crashes the Amiga nearly every time I loose the TDSL-connection. Nothing helped so far. ("Hang up before term request" tips and so on did not change anything). Probably there is a real bug in Miami DX and we have no chance to get an enhancement. I am really disappointed with this crashes. Currently the Amiga is the DSL-gateway of my home-net, but maybe I will buy a external router in the future.

O.K. thanks.
If the problem persists, I will have to get a DSL router also.
